PREPARATIONS UNDERWAY FOR 8TH ANNUAL ARMAGH SUMMER SCHOOL Armagh Old Boys Band in assiciation with
members of the world famous Fodens Band are busy preparing another fantastic
summer school which will run from 4th - 9th August 2008 - each year it
just gets bigger & better!! Richard Poole & Anna Hughes - Cornets
Andrew Howard-Smith - Tenor Horns
Gareth Westwood - Trombones
Helen Tyler - Euphoniums & Baritones
Toby Hobson & Les Neish - Tubas
Mark Landon - Percussion
Musical direction will mainly be from Gareth and Toby.
The whole team are presently selecting a grand programme of music to encourage
and challenge everyone - more details to follow! The timetable is also
in progress. Please do your best to attend at AOB Music Centre at 7pm
on Monday 4th August at 7pm for kick-off and morning, noon and night after
that!
This year promises to be another fantastic week ending
on a high with the Finale Concert, Presentation & Celebration Event
followed by a Disco!
2008 Summer School Fees are £25 per individual
or £40 per band.
This years tutors are:
AOB are currently hoping to provide travel allowance for participants
coming from afar and are currently trying to arrange approx 40 accommodation
places for Thursday 7th, Friday 8th and Saturday 9th nights - full details
