WELCOME

Welcome to our website. Situated in the coastal town of Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland, near the entrance to Belfast Lough, the Third Carrick Silver Band has been in existence for almost 50 years and still continues to grow and improve.

In April 2005, the band was given the opportunity and privilege of competing in the European Brass Band Championships which was held in Groningen, Holland (see news item for full details) and prior to that was awarded "Band of the Year" and in the same season won the North of Ireland Band Association (2nd Section) competition, retaining the trophy for a second year as champions. The band close 2006 once again as Irish Champions after their win with "Oceans" by Goff Richards in October.

In addition to competing at various contests during the year, the band also performs a large number of concerts, particularly throughout the summer and Christmas periods. If you would like to see the band's current list of engagements, click <here> or if you would like to book the band go to the <Contact Us> page

Inside the site there are lots of interesting features and information about the band, so please use the main menu at the top of the page to explore the site.

We hope you enjoy your visit and welcome any comments you have regarding any aspects of the site.
