Hi there, my name is Andy. I became interested in playing a brass instrument because my sister and my dad both played tenor horns in the Third Carrick Senior Band. To break with tradition I decided to take up the cornet and in 2002 I joined the junior band. Since then I have passed my Grade 4 cornet and I am currently working for my Grade 5 and also intend to go on and do my theory grades.

In January 2010 I was asked to play in the senior band and currently play 3rd cornet. I enjoy playing in the contests and cannot wait to win my first contest as a band member.
