Wendy Armstrong - Second Euphonium

Wendy Armstrong I began my playing career in September 1995 on the cornet while attending Enniskillen High School where I became a member of the school band and Ballinamallard Silver Band in Co. Fermanagh. Three years later I transferred to the euphonium.

After moving to Newtownabbey to study at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown in September 2003 I joined Third Carrickfergus Silver Band in October 2004.

I am currently organist at the Church of the Holy Name, Greenisland and prior to that at Magheracross Parish Church, Ballinamallard – a post I held for 11 years.

On graduating from the University of Ulster with a degree in Civil Engineering, I am now employed by Farrans Construction Limited, Dunmurry as a Quality Manager for the Belfast Streets Ahead project in Belfast City centre.
