BAND CELEBRATES 50TH ANNIVERSARY


This year promises to be a massive year for the band as it celebrates 50 years of music making. A weekend of celebration is planned from Friday 26th September to Sunday 28th September 2008 which will see the band perform in concert, enjoy a celebration dinner and participate in a bandsman's church service.

FORTHCOMING DIARY DATES

Friday 26th September 2008 - Golden Jubilee Concert
Venue: War Memorial Hall - Lancasterian Street, Carrickfergus
Time: tba

This concert will comprise both the band and the junior band along with a special guest band made up of former players which is being co-ordinated by Morris Cameron. The concert will also feature the world debut performance of a brand new march which has been commissioned by the band for its' golden anniversary celebrations and has been composed by the extremely talented Paul Lovatt-Cooper. Saturday 27th September 2008 - 50th Anniversary Dinner
Venue: Clarion Hotel, Carrickfergus
Time: tba


The band will host a lavish Golden Jubilee dinner complete with entertainment for members, guests and friends of the band in what promises to be a night that will be talked about for many years to come. More details to follow.

Sunday 28th September 2008 - Church Celebration Service
Venue: North Street Church, Carrickfergus
Time: tba


The band will attend and feature in a bandsman's service of thanksgiving which all involved hope will be a well attended event. More details to follow.
