A civic reception has been held for the band by the Mayor and Councillors of Carrickfergus in recognition of the double achievement of becoming Band of the Year and also retaining the N.I.B.A. championship for a second year. After a lovely supper, the members of the band were presented with their winners medals by the Mayor of Carrickfergus, Alderman May Beattie. The band are always proud of their achievements, not only in recognition of their hard work and dedication but for the borough which we are all delighted to bring credit to. We were also presented with Carrickfergus Borough Council ties and lapel badges which have now become an integral part of the band's uniform.

A great evening was had by all and we look forward to many more achievements in the future.
